Home Sweet Heavenly Home

"Home Sweet Home," is a well known phrase that has been used for many years to describe the lovely feeling one gets when being in the place where they reside. Most people are more relaxed at their own homes than other people's houses. At our own homes, we tend to feel comfortable, content and at peace.
A year and a half ago my husband and I were married and we moved two hours away from where we once lived. My parents have lived in the same house for thirty years that they bought together as a young married couple. Twenty-three years of my life were spent there in that house making memories with my family.
Now that I have became comfortable and content in the apartment that my husband and I rent, I still get a sense of warmth that comes over me when I walk into that home. Even though I do not live there any longer, when I walk through the door, I still feel a piece of my heart whispering, "This will always be Home Sweet Home."  Not only is it the house that gives me those warm feelings, but the people inside the home and the memories that were made there. When I think of the future, I can imagine bringing my children to this place that my father and mother prepared for me to live in and grow.
When I think of the phrase, "Home Sweet Home," in a greater since it makes me think of the Bible verse that states, "If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself, that where I am, you may be also. -John 14:3. You see, we will always be His children. He does not care how young or old we are. As we grow and age here on this earth, He is preparing our "Home Sweet Heavenly Home," for us to reside in eternally. I don't know about you, but this REALLY warms my heart!
